HALAL

What is Halal?

The word "Halal" means lawful, allowed. Foods designated as "Halal" are those whose consumption is allowed by God. In the Holy Quran, God commands Muslims and all humanity to eat only "Halal" foods.

The Holy Quran teaches us, in the 5th Sura, verse 4:

"You have been allowed all wholesome things."

Halal foods allowed for consumption must follow the following conditions:

Animal protein and its derivatives must come from Halal slaughtering, as determined by Sharia (Islamic Law).

Food and industrialized products must be free of pork and pork products (inputs and ingredients), such as collagen, blood, enzymes, hair, bone and fat.

They must also be free from impurities (najis), as determined by Sharia.

The food must also not contain poisonous, intoxicating, or health-damaging elements.
