The event “Muhammad Ali – History, Faith and Courage” took place in 2016, at the Misericórdia Mosque, in Santo Amaro. On the occasion, the Muhammad Ali Noble Hall was inaugurated, in honor of the Muslim boxer who marked history not only for his performance as an athlete, but for his social actions around the world.

The tribute was a public success that brought together the Brazilian Muslim community and personalities from the sport, politics, religion and business sector. The tribute was filled with emotion, with a presentation by the Coro de Jolie refugee children's choir, a religious celebration and videos that told the life story of Muhammad Ali.
